"Ain't it the Life?"

Ever since I was young, I have enjoyed being creative, crafty, and even a little inventive.
I remember when I was in 5th grade we had to draw a picture of something we wanted to invent. Because I already knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up, I decided to invent something that would help me in that job. (Yes, I did become a teacher).  So, I created a chalk board that had robot hands on the sides to write on and erase the board for you!  You didn't have to mess with all that chalk everywhere, and there was no risk of the dreaded fingernail scraping along the board. I know, right?  Awesome. Little did I know, dry erase boards were soon to make their appearance into the 1990's classroom, making my chalkboard invention obsolete.  Also, I'm pretty sure Old Navy owes me something for their most recent back to school themed commercials.  Watch closely (at around the 7 second mark):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJQWSbA0YdI
Anyway, Instead of being a rich inventor while also receiving royalties from Old Navy every time that commercial aired, I am a wife and a mommy and a photographer and a Jr. High girls basketball coach who likes to be creative on the side.  So, why not add a little blogging to that list of fun things in my life?
I live in North Alabama, and you should also know that just because I live in Alabama, that doesn't make me an Alabama fan.  War Eagle!  I do, however, enjoy other stereotypical Southern things such as-  sweet tea, grits, chocolate gravy, and my Nana's Mississippi Mud Cake. (Shout out to the hubby's home state of Mississippi).  We have honeysuckle and lightening bugs in the summer, and days out of school because of snow flurries in winter.  Most importantly, I have the best family in the world, the most loving husband, the cutest 5 month old baby boy, and a Savior who loves me beyond what I can imagine. What a blessed life I have here on this earth!
